Lancaster House

Beautiful, Contemporary Design with Traditional Qualities

The new Almshouse development will consist of six fully self-sufficient bungalows and eight flats. This new development shows the commitment from Wyggestons to further improve our facilities to our residents and staff alike, and also to solidify our place in Leicester as the most trusted and respected Sheltered Housing and Residential Care facility.

Built with Natural Space and Tranquility in Mind

Plans started for the New Almshouse some years ago when the Trustees at Wyggestons approved plans for development on land behind the current main building. You can see the overall plan of where the New Almshouse Development is situated, as well as blue prints of the Lancaster House development and the self sufficient Cottages.

Latest Update

The development is progressing well and we envisage completion in late October 2021 (Updated August 2021)
